Accountability:

This position is accountable for ensuring the reliable quality of the Songjiang site, encompassing daily quality processes to guarantee consistent operation and continuous improvement in quality management.

  • Provide leadership to establish a site-wide total quality management culture with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Bridge the quality strategy from Lubrizol corporate to region, aligning with business goals and objectives.
  • Develop a high-performing quality team to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the site quality team operates safely and complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Create and implement a site quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the site quality team in collaborating with internal stakeholders, including site, business, regional/global quality teams, and corporate functions, to address quality-related activities and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the QC lab provides timely and reliable test results to support daily production.
  • Execute and upgrade quality control plans to support operations, including RMs testing, in-process testing, FG testing, LZ trading goods testing, testing data key-in, and SAP maintenance of QC data for resale and rename.
  • Conduct/organize analysis of SJ quality complaints, quality deviations, and develop actions with related departments, tracking and following up on implementation to reduce quality complaints.
  • Establish and sustain quality management processes and systems at the site, including tracking and improving quality KPIs, driving QA tool implementation with operations teams (pFMEA, cPK, RCA, etc.).
  • Monitor site quality status to analyze, identify, and drive improvement activities with related departments, leading key quality improvement tasks.
  • Ensure all quality management systems and procedures are in place and updated correctly, and drive the team to maintain and achieve successful quality management system audits (IATF16949, ISO 9001, EFfCI, Halal, etc.).
  • Develop team members and talent, build product quality knowledge to support operations and business, including R&D/PT/TS on product quality improvement.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in the quality team to be reliable in quality and improve efficiency.
  • Define department budget plans and control the budget.
  • Act as a key member of the Asia quality team to support LZ Asia quality activities and development.
