Job Summary:

This Inventory Management Senior Analyst will support the Brand Operations function by managing algorithm inputs to generate long-range demand forecasts at the product style-color level, by week and by market. While maintaining the auto-generated forecast, the Senior Analyst will engage with global business units and supply teams to maximize inventory productivity, margin, and service level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manipulate planning inputs (discount rate/promotional strategy, cannibalization factor, to generate an automated style-color demand forecast; disaggregate forecast to sku-location level
  • Optimize inventory inputs (safety and cycle stock) to achieve desired service level at lowest possible inventory position; flex inventory by market and distribution center as needed to drive local demand
  • Assess forecast accuracy; partner with IT team to improve accuracy through iterative algorithm updates
  • Support Business Units with SKU, Channel and Market Demand Plan
  • Consolidate demand by region across channels
  • Manage risk and opportunity
  • Identify and resolve gaps between financial targets and the demand plan
  • Research demand drivers and review historical sales trends
  • Partner with BUs and Merchandising in the management of product lifecycle
  • Support business execution of new programs and initiatives
Requirements:
  • A College Degree, required
  • Fluent English, can speak Japanese will be a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory planning, or other related area
  • Deep analytical and financial skills with strong brand, retail, supply chain, manufacturing, and overall retail business acumen
  • Understanding of statistical and probabilistic methods of forecasting and forecast drivers
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Experience with MicroStrategy a plus
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships across the business and be a team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be adaptable and flexible in response to shifting priorities in an evolving work environment
