About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Category Manager to provide indirect procurement category management support to the Edrington China business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement category management support to the Edrington China business, including responsibility for Marketing Service category- POSM & Visibility, ATL/BTL categories.
  • BUILD strong connections with key business partners and manage the needs and expectations of the business to drive satisfaction while ensuring compliance to procurement standards and alignment with procurement strategies.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand local business context and to build the pipeline of projects that have significant saving potential.
  • SUPPORT Procurement team for the strategy and implementation plan on agencies category (POSM & Visibility, Marketing ATL/BTL) of spend in China that will effectively meet the needs of the business and deliver the maximum value, ensuring category management is aligned with global & regional & local strategies and business needs.
  • SUPPORT supplier evaluations and vendor pool assessments to ensure our suppliers can be held accountable for delivery and our vendor pool remains competitive, of high quality and compliant.
  • Stay abreast of regional & local trends to assist the stakeholders in their existing needs and provide innovative ideas for efficient marketing spends.

Requirements

  • Financial acumen is key, with budget setting and adherence paramount.
  • Prior experience at POSM & Visibility-IMO, ATL or BTL, Procurement project management is essential to this role.
  • Demonstrated capability of key stakeholder engagement, relationship building and process management especially in the marketing service is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate locally with the team in China and good command in both verbal & written English.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, presentation, organizational skills.
  • Hands-on computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Power point.
  • Previous experience of SAP/ Power BI would be advantageous.
