As a Procurement Category Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping our supply chain strategy and building strong relationships with our suppliers.

  • Develop and execute sub-category strategies in alignment with Harman International global category lead, Business Units, engineering, quality, and manufacturing activities.
  • Responsible for managing and making critical decisions on all aspects of supplier relationship, including contracts, commercial/pricing, supply assurance, and conflict resolution.
  • Identify, establish, and develop new suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and document negotiations and annual global price negotiations.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction potential.
  • Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews, and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility.
  • Timely coordination of procurement processes to ensure supply, cost, and quality.
