Job Description

This senior-level procurement professional will be responsible for managing a professional service portfolio with an annual spend of $180 million, including Finance, HR, Marketing, and Insurance categories. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing commodity inventory operational strategies to support the company's supply chain.
  • Evaluating market conditions to ensure optimal inventory levels while controlling costs.
  • Assessing and recommending vendors to support procurement activities.
  • Managing ongoing relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and resolve any issues.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on category management and indirect services.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
How You Will Do It

You will conduct thorough market research to identify best practices and emerging trends in the procurement of indirect services. Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to align procurement strategies with business objectives. Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions that benefit the organization. Implement processes to track savings, performance metrics, and vendor compliance to support continuous improvement. Utilize analytical skills to evaluate spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
