Job Description

Overview

  • This role plays a crucial part in the development of the global category plan for the focus category.
  • Translate strategy into execution plans to deliver category growth ambitions and drive implementation in the region.
  • Assemble category portfolios across product lines, ensuring value propositions are clearly articulated.

Responsibilities

Global Category Plan
  • Represent the region in a cross-functional team to develop the global category strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of the regional technical roadmap for the category.
  • Ensure consistent reporting of results across the business using the ARA classification.
Regional Category Growth
  • Lead a cross-functional team to drive implementation of the 0-18 month plan.
  • Develop the opportunity pipeline for the category in partnership with Sales/TS.
  • Support sales prospecting process through target customer lists and tracking progress.
Customers and Growth
  • Participate in customer meetings to build market knowledge and convert sales opportunities.
  • Provide market and competitor intelligence for the category.
  • Act as the marketing lead for major category customers and shape account plans.
Innovation
  • Generate a consolidated view of regional priority customer problems to solve.
  • Collaborate with the global category team to define and prioritize customer problems.
  • Develop business cases for innovation projects and guide opportunity sizing.
Management and People Development
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the team to deliver growth targets.
  • Drive adoption of new marketing capabilities within the business.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified, preferably MBA or Masters degree in Business, Food Science, or Marketing.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in marketing in a food company with strong knowledge of the category.
  • Proven expertise in marketing plan design and implementation and product launches.
