Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Information Security Governance to join our team at adidas. This role will be responsible for ensuring the organization's information security and governance framework is aligned with global best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise IT Governance:

  • Review and assess current and proposed information systems for compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on governance and compliance matters.

Information Governance:

  • Develop and implement information and records management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective controls are in place for internal delegation, audit, and control relating to information and records management.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with information use.
  • Provide regular reports on the consolidated status of information controls to inform effective decision-making.
  • Recommend remediation actions as required.

Information Security:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to standards.
  • Obtain and act on vulnerability information and conduct security risk assessments, business impact analysis, and accreditation on complex information systems.
  • Investigate major security breaches and recommend appropriate control improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of information security policy, standards, and guidelines.

Information Assurance:

  • Interpret information assurance and security policies and apply them to manage risks.
  • Provide advice and guidance to ensure adoption of and adherence to information assurance architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Use testing to support information assurance.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines.

Business Risk Management:

  • Carry out risk assessments within a defined functional or technical area of business.
  • Use consistent processes for identifying potential risk events, quantifying, and documenting the probability of occurrence and the impact on the business.
  • Refer to domain experts for guidance on specialized areas of risk, such as architecture and environment.
  • Coordinate the development of countermeasures and contingency plans.

Continuity Management:

  • Implement and contribute to the development of a continuity management plan.
  • Coordinate the assessment of risks to the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of systems that support critical business processes.
  • Coordinate the planning, designing, and testing of maintenance procedures and contingency plans.

Quality Assurance:

  • Contribute to the collection of evidence and the conduct of formal audits or reviews of activities, processes, data, products, or services.
  • Examine records for evidence that appropriate testing and other quality control activities have taken place and determine compliance with organizational directives, standards, and procedures.
  • Identify non-compliances, non-conformances, and abnormal occurrences.

Conformance Review:

  • Conduct formal reviews of activities, processes, products, or services.
  • Collect, collate, and examine records as part of specified testing strategies for evidence of compliance with management directives or the identification of abnormal occurrences.
  • Analyze evidence collated and draft part or all of formal reports commenting on the conformance found to exist in the reviewed part of an information systems environment.

Relationship Management:

  • Implement stakeholder engagement/communications plan.
  • Deal with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.
  • Collect and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management.
  • Help develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.

People Management/Resource Management:

  • Involved in the recruiting process and proposes support for hiring decisions and pre-selection of candidates.
  • Allocate work to employees considering experience, complexity, workload, and organizational efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of IT systems, data, and analysis, and team feedback, and make appropriate changes to meet business needs.
  • Provide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and GIT objectives.

Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year college or university degree with a focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient spoken and written command of English.
  • At least 7-year experience in IT.
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant area.
  • 2 years of experience in team management.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of regional and global market landscape and the respective customer.
  • Managed critical elements and cross-functional and regional projects.
