Accountant Role

The role of an Accountant at C.H. Robinson involves preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements using accounting principles. Effective communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a solution-oriented approach are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Execute daily general ledger accounting operations
  • Reconcile accounts in the month-end closing process
  • Keep records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities
  • Support and execute internal controls
  • Coordinate accounting matters with peers
  • Handle basic issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Assist with the preparation of reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents that project the organization's financial position
  • Support the coordination of financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of working GL experience, shared service center is preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud and other cloud-based Oracle solutions or similar ERP platforms
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Accountability to protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
