Sales Representative for Analytical Instrument Service

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to join our team at Agilent Technologies Inc. This role will focus on selling service products and solutions to customers in assigned territories.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of analytical instrument service products and markets, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers over the phone, via email or in person.
Responsibilities will include:
- Sales of service products like standard service contracts, preventive maintenance, compliance services, software upgrades, education services, and multi-vendor services within assigned territories.
- Interpreting customer needs and working to meet those needs; identifying potential business opportunities and referring more complex leads to others.
- Improving connection rates and warranty conversion rates by implementing different sales tactics and business plans, working closely with local engineers to improve coverage for small accounts and remote customers.
- Closely working with marketing teams, service delivery teams, and instrument sales teams to contribute to business growth.
- Effectively seeking and penetrating new accounts in target businesses, focusing on key accounts.
- Able to accurately forecast business and manage funnels effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food, Materials Science, Pharmacology, Environment, or a related field, or at least 2-3 years of sales experience with a bachelor's degree in laboratory/chemical products, service sales background preferred.
- A good knowledge of analytical instrument service products and markets.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Able to create business plans consistent with service products and strategy.
- Highly motivated, creative, and result-oriented, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Work as a team, wants the team to succeed, and actively works to ensure it happens.
