Position Overview

In this role, you will lead a team of Transducer Engineering professionals, primarily responsible for initiating and developing viable, cost-efficient, and dependable transducer designs from conception to production, in alignment with the Harman PACE25 initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support Transducer Engineers in all engineering activities related to the PACE25 project.
  • Engage in the formulation of standardized work practices, procedures, and design benchmarks in collaboration with other Audio Systems design teams.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation is produced to define and validate transducer designs, including sketches, BOMs, analytical/modeling data, acoustic data sheets, DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, etc.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in audio product design, development, modeling/analysis, materials, and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Establish objectives, assess performance, conduct evaluations, and mentor Engineers through guidance and support.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in collaborating with teams across Transducer, Materials Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, and Supplier Engineering, coordinating activities among team members.
  • Identify technological opportunities beyond specific divisional or platform domains and cultivate insights on standards within the designated area of expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in transducer product design.
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience overseeing projects throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with best practices in transducer design development and manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of the expectations and requirements associated with the PACE25 project.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to transition from theoretical concepts to practical implementation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proactive approach to anticipate challenges and make informed decisions to address them.
  • Experience in automotive speaker design.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Willingness to travel 10%-20% of the time.
  • Prepared to work in an office environment.
