Are you ready to take charge of our external relations and communications strategy? This role is pivotal in supporting Haleon's leadership and strategic objectives within the Southeast Asia and Taiwan Business Unit (BU), focusing on long-term reputation management.

The Corporate Affairs Manager will work closely with the Southeast Asia and Taiwan Corporate Affairs Lead to implement government and communications strategies, overseeing the communications function, which encompasses public relations, media management, and internal communications. This position emphasizes executing Haleon's government affairs initiatives while ensuring alignment with both BU and global strategic priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting and executing a comprehensive communications and government affairs strategy that addresses brand-related issues, legislative matters, and sustainability efforts, all while safeguarding Haleon's reputation.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, including market leadership teams and global Corporate Affairs teams, to effectively communicate strategies and build trust among customers, media, employees, and government entities.
  • Partnering with regulatory and legal teams to cultivate relationships with government officials and industry groups, advocating for favorable regulations that support business growth.
  • Identifying legislative opportunities in collaboration with R&D and Regulatory Affairs teams to proactively prepare for external developments.
  • Recognizing critical stakeholders who can influence Haleon's strategy and reputation across key categories.
  • Working with BU and global teams to create strategic media relations and communication plans that enhance Haleon's business priorities and brand reputation.
  • Developing a consistent internal communications strategy to foster employee engagement in a dynamic environment.
  • Leading initiatives to facilitate face-to-face communications with employees, including Town Hall meetings, and preparing engaging presentations and content.

**Basic Qualifications:**

We seek professionals with the following skills:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Corporate or Government Affairs.
  • Proven track record in internal and external communications strategy development and execution, including agency management.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of the government affairs landscape and political environment, serving as a key spokesperson for the markets.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems and drug regulatory policies to advise leadership effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, relationship management, and partnership development.
  • Expertise in media management, public relations, and crisis management.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities to support brand growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across various relationships.
  • Proficiency in English and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Adaptability to manage a fast-paced and complex business environment.
