Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Counsel

At Emerson, we are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Counsel to join our team in China. As a key member of our compliance program, you will be responsible for providing legal support in the management of our compliance program in China with respect to Regulatory Compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice on Regulatory Compliance Matters, including International Trade Compliance, Information Governance, Antitrust Compliance, Product Environmental Compliance, Anti-Corruption Compliance, Conflict Minerals, Data Privacy and Security.
  • Work in coordination with Emerson Law Department colleagues and outside counsel on routine and assigned legal matters to ensure compliance with Emerson policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep management of the supported Businesses and the Law Department fully advised of all significant developments concerning all material matters in a timely fashion.
  • Exercise good professional judgment, act with integrity, and get results at all times to protect and improve the image and reputation of Emerson.
  • Support team in implementing corporate policies throughout all applicable Businesses and strategic projects in different areas.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in a commercial and international field (in-house or private practice).
  • Experience in provision of advice on Regulatory Compliance Matters.
  • Licensed to practice law in China.
  • Comfortable working with senior management.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English and Chinese language skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solution-finding, practical, with a strong eye for business, able to promptly provide clear inputs and mentorship and take reasonable risks.
  • Self-motivated and keen on getting involved in and exposed to all kinds of legal matters and business areas.
