Facilities Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Teradyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our facilities operations in China mainland and Taiwan, ensuring all facilities, properties, and office services function effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all service contracts to ensure professional delivery and optimal costs.
- Develop and maintain close liaison with functional departments to ensure facilities maintenance programs, policies, and procedures align with company guidelines and local business needs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and manage improvement works, renovation projects, equipment installations, construction, and building management.
- Administer and coordinate all Real Estate leases, including apartment leases.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Asia Facilities manager.
Facilities Maintenance
- Coordinate, manage, and supervise mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair work, including air compressor, vacuum system, aircon system, process chiller, and fire system.
- Handle office and Repair Center facility equipment regular check plans and execute with user cooperation.
- Manage office space allocation, review car parking situations, and regularly update seat layouts.
- Work with supervisors on Taiwan and China mainland offices budget preparation and execution.
- Manage and monitor facility team vendor work, review cost/quality of service and goods, handle expenses and billing cycles, and manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlords.
EHS and Security Management
- Coordinate and manage EHS matters.
- Take the roles of safety engineer and Health Affairs.
- Be the emergency contact for Taiwan offices and work with Security Operations Center (SOC) on sites' security-related cases, such as customer door access approval.
Education/Training/Skills/Experience Required
- Expected to travel up to 25% of the time in China mainland and Taiwan.
- Bachelor's Degree in facilities management, mechanical and electrical, civil engineering, or architectural with five to eight years of experience in facilities, property management, or related fields in Shanghai.
- Required well-rounded knowledge of industrial facilities, EHS, and government compliance requirements.
- Possess background in engineering with good mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Previous budgetary oversight experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills, with the ability to communicate in English and Mandarin.
- Computer skills - must be reasonably self-sufficient and able to use Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Autocad.
