Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to join our team at Teradyne in Shanghai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our facilities operations, ensuring all facilities, properties, and office services functions operate effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, including air compressors, vacuum systems, aircon systems, process chillers, and fire systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with functional departments, including EHS, Security, and Real Estate, to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety policies, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage improvement works, renovation projects, equipment installations, construction, and building management.
  • Administer and coordinate all Real Estate leases, including apartment leases.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Asia Facilities manager.
Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Facility Maintenance: To handle the regular check plan and execute with the cooperation of the user, manage the offices space allocation, review the car parking situation, and regularly update the seat layout.
  • EHS: To take the roles of the safety engineer and Health Affairs.
  • Security Management: Be the emergency contact of the Taiwan offices and work with the Security Operations Center (SOC) on sites' security-related cases, such as customer door access approval.
  • Other Matters Assigned by Supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Expected to travel up to 25% of the time in China Mainland and Taiwan.
  • Bachelor's Degree in facilities management/mechanical and electrical/Civil engineering/Architectural with five to eight years of experiences in facilities, property management or related field in Shanghai.
  • Required a well-rounded knowledge of industrial facilities, EHS and government compliances requirements.
  • Possess background in engineering with good Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
  • Previous budgetary oversight experiences preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as presentation skills. Must be able to communicate in English and Mandarin.
  • Computer skills - Must be reasonably self-sufficient and able to use Outlook, Microsoft Office, Autocad.
