About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Director to spearhead the launch and development of our operations function in China. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our internal processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our global standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Establish and refine core processes from scratch, focusing on streamlining operations to support scalable growth and efficiency as the business expands.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with local Chinese regulations, adjusting processes to align with legal requirements and safeguard business continuity.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate with global and local teams to align strategies and processes, ensuring effective integration and communication across all functions.
  • Design and Execute Strategic Projects: Lead the vision and execution for strategic projects, developing comprehensive project plans, defining scope, setting timelines, and driving successful execution.
  • Manage Key Risks: Identify potential operational risks and develop robust mitigation strategies and early warning systems. Proactively safeguard operations, navigating challenges effectively.
  • KPI Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators to assess operational efficiency, driving actionable insights and improvements.
  • Revenue Operations: Oversee revenue processes, ensuring alignment with global strategies and local optimization. Manage the lead flow process, CRM, and ensure data integrity through effective collaboration with sales leadership.
About You
  • Proven Experience: High level of comfort and experience in operations, including discovery, process design, continuous improvement, and building systems for scale. Proven track record of setting and achieving ambitious, measurable goals.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in unstructured environments and adapt swiftly to changes. Introduce structure where needed and navigate the complexities of a startup environment with ease.
  • Problem-Solving: Approach every challenge as an opportunity to make an impact. You dig deep to understand problems and develop creative solutions beyond the obvious or traditional approaches.
  • Communication: Effectively convey complex concepts across teams and stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment throughout the organization.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of local Chinese regulations, with the ability to navigate and integrate compliance requirements effectively within operations.
  • Masterful Operator: Expert at designing efficient and scalable processes. Use KPIs and process standardization as strategic tools for building effective systems.
  • Cross-Cultural Understanding: Skilled at navigating cultural differences and bridging gaps, fostering collaboration and unity in a diverse, multinational environment.
  • People Leadership: Proven ability to build, manage, and mentor teams, helping them reach their full potential. Confidently advocate for your area of responsibility, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to make informed, timely decisions, even with limited information, and to lead projects to completion. Hands-on, with a track record of good judgment in ambiguous circumstances.
