Global Safety Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager to lead our strategic direction in policy and governance. The ideal candidate will focus on developing a comprehensive risk framework for Asia Global Selling, ensuring seller compliance and optimizing the overall customer experience.
The successful applicant will possess expertise in product, food safety, and regulatory compliance programs, driving initiatives to detect and prevent unsafe products on Amazon stores worldwide. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CN business, legal, product, and policy teams, to establish initiatives that effectively manage safety risks and support our selling partners.
This role requires strong strategic thinking skills, independence in building stakeholder relationships, and the ability to seamlessly transition from strategy to execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and managing safety risks for global selling, working with complex cross-functional teams to identify safety control gaps and develop mitigation plans
- Partnering with the WW safety team to improve the selling partner experience
- Supporting Safety and Compliance escalations from internal partner teams and media-related safety and compliance issues
- Driving safety awareness and continual process improvement, delivering results to achieve stated goals and projects
A typical day for this role involves reviewing product safety requirements and processes in region teams, identifying potential opportunities for global selling partners, and developing strategies to mitigate gaps by partnering closely with business, product, policy, and legal teams.
About the TeamThe Trustworthy Shopping Experience Asia Global Selling (TSE AGS) team aims to ensure the long-term success of AGS Sellers on Amazon by facilitating global business scaling. Our mission includes safeguarding customer satisfaction by verifying the authenticity and quality of products on the platform. We prioritize upstream product compliance and safety, informing sellers about relevant laws and regulations during onboarding.
The ideal candidate will be open to working out of one of our locations: Shanghai, China.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, operations, regulatory, risk management, or a related field
- 10+ years' experience in program management, business development, or management consulting, with 5+ years' experience in risk management, product/food compliance, or regulatory compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
- Experience working with leadership, global, and cross-functional teams
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $150,000-$200,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
