About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Operation Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining import product databases to comply with Customs and CIQ regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct database management, including HS classification against customs and CIQ regulations;
  • Provide professional proposals on new commodities to be launched in the China market from logistics perspectives;
  • Offer technical support in case of any customs disputes on importation declarations;
  • Support new item setup processes, provide clear importation restriction instructions, identify risk control licenses, and set up internal application processes;
  • Study the impact on operations regarding any updates on regulations, support the setup of processes, and drive implementation with the help of the operation team.
Requirements
  • College degree or above;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese;
  • Pass the Import and Export Commodity HS Classification Professional Ability Level Evaluation Examination;
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in HS classification;
  • Familiarity with I/E procedures and customs policies is a plus;
  • Ability to work hard and take on challenging tasks;
  • Self-motivation and dedication;

  • Able to work under pressure.
