Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Expert in Supplier Quality Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring and improving the supplier quality in the assigned area of dedicated business, implementing SQM requirements, and acting as SQA contact in cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply preventive quality methods aimed at risk minimization.
  • Design, maintain, and improve specific Quality requirements, specifications, and concepts based on supplier categorization.
  • Qualify and approve suppliers, in cooperation with purchasing and Technology.
  • Coordinate product/process qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements/specification (Ready to order).
  • Create and negotiate Quality Assurance agreements, and monitor implementation in supplier processes.
  • Plan and execute Supplier Audits including follow-up of audit measures.
  • Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement and collaborate in supplier development programs.
  • Implement complaints management to detect and analyze non-conformances and communicate with supplier.
  • Support standardized supplier qualification process according to corporate guidelines (Ready for business).
  • Drive the qualification and re-qualification of new and current suppliers, in accordance with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy internal procedures.
  • Primarily responsible for performing supplier Product and Process qualification through PPAP (APQP4Wind) approach.
  • Ensure that the product and process quality of suppliers is compliant with Siemens Gamesa Renewables' requirements.
  • Investigate, analyze, and correct quality discrepancies in relation to products and quality at supplier, including Non-Conformances handling (NCR) and 8D and similar problem-solving methods.
  • Initiate and implement strategies to enable the development of suppliers, improving their competences and overall quality performance.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary and cross-functional workgroups as Supplier Quality Assurance representative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering is preferred) or an equivalent professional background, combined with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience within supplier quality from an international company.
  • Previous quality-related experience with Electrical industrial components: generators, motors, segmented stators.
  • Good knowledge of the segment or generator/motor manufacturing processes (punching and stacking lamination, welding and brazing, coil insulation and winding, impregnation and electromechanical tests) and understand drawings, specifications, routine test EN/ISO standards, including welding and NDT standards.
  • Raw materials, silicon steel, EN 10106: 2007 Cold rolled non-oriented electrical steel sheet.
  • Welding qualification WPQR, WPS, NDT inspection and standards ISO 14555, ISO 15609-1, ISO15607.
  • Insulation standard IEC 60085, IEC 60243, IEC 60664-1.
  • Routine tests: winding and insulation resistance, lightning impulse, high voltage, partial discharge.
  • Product and Process auditing experience is necessary. Candidates with sound PPAP knowledge will be preferred, including Measuring System Analysis and FMEA.
  • Auditing experience with ISO 9001 or similar is preferable, and candidates with a Lead Auditor examination will be preferred.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, and VDA 6.3 is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and capable of interfacing with numerous parties at all levels in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent English (both orally and written) and IT skills, including SAP, MS office applications, etc.
