Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled People and Culture Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our operational team, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of operational People and Culture assignments covering all aspects of the joining, moving and leaving process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Managers and Colleagues: Be the go-to-person and partner for managers, co-workers and P&C colleagues in the identified business and legal entity for P&C related topics.
  • Operational Execution: Lead execution of P&C year cycle operational tasks.
  • Area of Expertise: Actively work with area of expertise such as Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Mobility, Labour Law, Work Environment etc.
  • Development and Implementation: Contribute to building business competence and leadership development by supporting managers and co-workers according to agreed development plans.
  • Work Environment Initiatives: Responsible for execution of plans linked to work environment initiatives and co-worker insight surveys.
  • Labour Law Guidance: Support managers with labour law guidance, performance improvement plans and difficult cases.
  • People Strategy: Contribute to the implementation and execution of the People strategy in the local unit/area.
  • Ways of Working: Contribute to developing ways of working on the People & Culture Generalist arena.
  • Administration: Responsible for execution of administration connected to People & HR digital tools.
Requirements
  • People and Culture Knowledge: Good knowledge in People and Culture operational processes, topics and tools.
  • IKEA Knowledge: Good knowledge of IKEA people related approaches and strategies.
  • Local Employment Legislations: Good knowledge in local employment legislations and co-worker relations.
  • IKEA Culture and Values: Good understanding in the IKEA Vision, Concept, Business Idea and IKEA Culture & Values.
  • Potential and Motivation: Motivated to work with people and competence and a strong belief in people's potential.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead on an operational level and contribute on a tactical level.
  • Communication: Ability to build trust and relationships through good communication.
  • Coaching and Facilitation: Ability to coach, facilitate and support in developing teams, managers and co-workers.
  • Change Enablement: Ability to support and enable change.
  • Administration: Ability to be structured and organized with attention to details and patience in handling P&C administration.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Ability to show leadership capabilities.
