Our M365 Asia Pacific Office AI engineering team is in search of an innovative Principal Product Manager Lead to accelerate the development of new Conversational Copilot Experiences within our suite of Copilot products. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with diverse teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, machine learning scientists, and researchers, to create these experiences and enhance the underlying AI capabilities.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree along with 10+ years of experience in product, service, project, or program management, or software development, with at least 8 years of collaborative experience with engineering, design, and user research.

• A minimum of 6 years in people management, demonstrating a passion for mentorship and development of team members.

• Proven experience in presenting to senior executives and managing projects across multiple regions and teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in building products from the ground up, including platforms, ecosystems, or marketplaces.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems, and drive initiatives independently.

• Technical expertise in cloud technologies, data management, mid-end stack, and a minimum of 2 years in AI-focused applications.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in startup environments or consumer-oriented technology firms.

• Familiarity with MS Azure cloud, Microsoft 365, and/or open-source software products.

Responsibilities


• Lead a Product Management team to ensure alignment with global product strategies, priorities, and excellence in product management, fostering collaboration between China and headquarters through the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products.

• Spearhead product development alongside a team of top-tier engineers and designers.

• Cultivate a shared vision across the organization by building consensus on priorities that drive product execution.

• Define and assess metrics that gauge product success.

• Understand Microsoft's strategic positioning within the Microsoft 365 Copilot initiative and deliver industry-leading products.

• Optimize for speed, effectiveness, efficiency, and learning in a fluid, creative environment.

• Proactively identify and initiate opportunities for exploration in new areas.

• Oversee the priorities, planning, performance assessments, and feedback processes for direct reports to ensure their business impact and career growth.

• Foster strong collaborative partnerships and trust with local and global engineering stakeholders.

• Exhibit leadership influence across the organization, promoting customer-centric engineering, a growth mindset, and a culture of excellence.
