Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Forensic Accounting Specialist. As a key member of our Forensic Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in China with their forensic accounting and investigation needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Forensic Accounting Engagements: Provide assistance with transaction testing, interviews, document review, financial statement analysis, and data visualization in China.
  • Collaborate with Multijurisdictional Teams: Work as part of a team delivering large, multijurisdictional assignments and complex problem-solving projects.
  • Operational Support: Provide day-to-day operational support to other members of the practice to ensure effective management and prioritization of all incoming client requests and outgoing deliverables.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct public domain research in Chinese and English to support our clients' needs.
  • Project Support: Support several small to mid-sized projects with minimal supervision.
  • Client Support: Assist and support senior team members in presenting to prospective and current clients, including preparing presentations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two to three years of experience with a reputable public accounting firm, and/or in-house compliance/investigations role or a similar role with multinational corporations in China.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills. Flexible in adapting to evolving priorities during the course of an investigation. Strong professional work ethics and willingness to develop new skills.
  • Language: Native written/spoken Mandarin skills and proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Education: Relevant university degree.
  • Travel: Willing to travel.
  • Attention to Detail: Close attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple commitments under time pressure.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is a must; other regional languages an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: China or overseas accountancy certifications (e.g., CICPA, CPA, ACCA, CA).
