Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Research Scientist for our Biochemistry and Cellular Pharmacology Group in Lead Discovery to join our team of highly motivated scientists. This role will involve participating in design, development, and implementation of new assays to support drug discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement biochemical and cell-based assays, conduct HTS, and perform routine assay for compound profiling.
  • Interpret results and present within and outside LD.
  • Oversight of potential partnerships with external resources including CROs.
  • Coordinates cross-functional efforts to meet near-term or long-term project goals.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of cutting-edge science in Lead Discovery and constantly upgrade relevant skillsets.
  • Maintain an accurate lab notebook and record all necessary information.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment and comply with relevant SOPs.

Requirements

Candidates must have a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology, and experience in assay development, screening, and data analysis. The successful candidate will have excellent instrumentation skills, communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and problem-solving degree plus > 2 years of professional/industrial experience in research or drug discovery/development.

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
