About the Role:

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Specialist to join our team. As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of HR systems and processes, including implementation, analysis, and communication of HR programs and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of HR system design, content, and module(s) for assigned areas of responsibility or regions.
  • Act as subject matter expert for HR systems, such as Workday module(s), and work with HRIS team and external experts to resolve issues and optimize employee and manager self-service experience.
  • Maintain and recommend changes to applicable contracts and processes, and implement these changes when approved.
  • Responsible for maintenance and record retention of systems processes and databases that impact all employees.
  • Subject matter expert for functional area/region Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Workday module(s), L&D, etc.

Working Well with Others:

  • Work closely with HR Directors, Senior Managers, and HRM's, HRIS team, and external vendors to analyze and recommend solutions for processes and programs to ensure legal compliance, cost effectiveness, and best-in-class processes.
  • Work with program vendors to coordinate training sessions for managers and employees across the region.
  • Meet with and advise managers and employees on processes and systems.

Delivering Results:

  • Communicate and respond effectively on day-to-day enquiries from employees and managers, and interpret and explain systems and processes and local policies as required.
  • Support HRIS team in testing, development, and implementation of HR programs and processes for assigned areas of responsibility as needed.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions on issues or concerns with HR programs, processes, and systems.
  • Ensure timely and consistent application of processes and systems across the region.
  • Regularly audit and ensure accuracy of databases in comparison to vendor reports.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary school education with certificate in Human Resources Management (CHRM), or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 or more years HR administration and systems experience.
  • Knowledge of corporate policies, philosophies, and past practices.
  • Sound knowledge of applicable legislation and contractual agreements.
  • Ability to deal with different external vendors for each aspect of their systems and process.
  • Working knowledge of Workday or other HRIS system preferred.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve issues and develop proposals and/or communication documents.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, in particular Excel).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer services orientated.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High level of confidentiality and diplomacy required.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and schedule work; ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for multi-tasking and prioritization.
