Alpha Professional Service Test Analyst, SrAssc

A Test Analyst works on execution of Business Testing. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business to gain in-depth understanding of the business processes and the context in which the business operates in order to test all business scenarios relevant to the development being deployed in order to remediate the risk to the business.

Responsibilities:

· Manage testing within using standard project processes and tools

· Create and document test cases including test steps

· Reviewing the testing process and results with stakeholders to be in alignment with business goals and processes

· Demonstrate a strong understanding of testing from the business perspective including testing methodologies, test scenarios and test cases

· Escalate issues encountered during the testing

· Track test results for testing and compare to business requirements to identify items as defects, enhancements or user error

· Identify defects into actionable items and work with IT, Product management and other teams to resolve noted defects

· Track outstanding items and manage to completion

Qualifications / Requirements and skills:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in Business Testing / Business Analysis / Business Operations

· Adequate business knowledge and/or strong business background for picking up business requirements, in order to create the testing suites

· Hands-on experience with all stages of the project lifecycle would be preferred including requirements gathering

· Analytical skills for detecting abnormalities and identifying root causes

· Able to work well independently while also being a good team player

· Strong relationship-building skills and communication skills

· Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills

· Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point

· Understanding of front office / middle office / back office processes and of State Street or Alpha applications will be beneficial

· Command of technical skills such as SQL, data warehousing concepts, automating tool, robotic tools, etc., will be beneficial
