BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

This role is for a Senior Brand Manager in the Global Dove Skin Cleansing team. 

Dove Skin Cleansing is a EUR business with presence in over 160 countries. It is the #1 bodywash brand globally, almost twice the size of the next competitor brand, and continues to drive strong, consistent, sustainable and purposeful growth. The candidate selected for this role will be leading work across China and SEAA. In 2020 China was Dove’s #2 market and SEAA was Dove’s #4 cluster with both showing strong growth trajectories over the past few years.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

The successful candidate will report to the Dove Global Brand Director, North Asia. And will be responsible for landing core innovation in China, driving growth in SEA and driving whitespace expansion via UI.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of Dove’s core innovations in China. Develop a strong partnership with the local China team to ensure smooth OTIF launch of core innovation projects. Partner with SEA countries (PH, VN, ID, TH, MYSG) to develop and align growth plans to achieve year-on-year double digit growth for the region. Conduct regular meetings with these markets to ensure both thematic and tactical activities are progressing smoothly and are on track to meet growth targets. Effectively lead and collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team (CMI, R&D, Finance, SC) based across China, US and SEA.  Effectively manage a network of agencies and partners to unlock creativity and efficiency to land projects with speed and with success. Partner with UI to drive white space expansion.

All ABOUT YOU

At least 8 years marketing experience in which you have managed the communications and product experience of a brand. Ideally within beauty and personal care category. Must have a strong passion for beauty and a healthy fascination for the products we sell – the formulations, science, fragrance, sensorials, look and feel. You understand how our products compare to competitors. Must treat every element of a mix with care and attention to detail, ultimately to make the product look beautiful and create consumer desire and excitement. You know your own strengths and weaknesses and are able to build relationships and spark passion with others that result in a high performing team. Global brand/ mix development skills with a strong understanding of how local team operate experience in partnering countries outside China is a huge plus. Strong strategic thinking built on a sharp understanding of consumers needs across multiple markets. Has experience in developing successful communication both above and below the line. Has experience in effectively managing the relationship with advertising agency partners. Excellent brand development skills ( brand positioning/equity, concept development, project leadership, eye for beauty) Beauty experience and craftsmanship to create holistic Brand Experience Toolkit for an innovation/campaign. Strong business acumen (including NRM) and an understanding of innovation process management, funnel value & Innoflex.  Exceptional project management skills – working closely with R&D, Supply Chain, CMI, Finance, External Agencies and CCBTs to bring the innovation pipeline to life OTIF. Ensure timely delivery of projects and help deliver business metrics of turnover, global innovation funnel value, gross margin, and share. Collaborate closely with R&D to create winning products based on consumer-centric propositions. High quality leadership with a track record of building motivated and strong teams – and ability to interface regularly with senior stakeholders from country, category and brand. Be bold in thought and brave in action. Have a healthy disregard for status quo. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
