As the commercial specialist of the commercial department within Taste, Texture and Health (TTH) Ingredient Solutions China, the position holder supports the commercial aspects of the legacy-DNP part of TTH business (legacy HNH scope) within the agreed sales/marketing strategy and budget.

Your key responsibilities

Pricing:
• Support commercial manager to translate global pricing strategy to a regional Industry level and ensure implementation across the China organization for both straights & premix. Additional ISOL product categories to be added to the scope, starting with Hydrocolloids.
• Support realize the sales objectives of TTH through provision of direction, guidance and coaching regarding commercial targets, pricing strategy, supply situation and market overview across the China sales teams
• Be a major communication interface with Global Commercial ManagementProduct Management, Premix organization, Logistics, Customer Services, Finance, QA and SHE and maintain interface with HNC Regional COO & Commercial team
Support regional Commercial exchange

a. Approve quotations
b. Push quotation approval by communicating with commercial managers in HQ
c. Communicating with sales, regional managers, distributors to implementing price strategy from HQ
d. Attending biddings with sales, discuss bidding strategy before the bidding with HQ and responsible sales person, to make the success of the bidding

Forecast and IBP:
• Manage and monitor the supply chain and inventory levels in order to ensure availability.

a. Offer insights (price & Qty) for monthly forecast for key products
b. Ask regional sales managers for forecast updates on a quarterly basis for products
c. Review IBP, give decision and solution for slow moving products

Allocation
• Offer by product by segment by customer insights for monthly allocation by analyzing sales trend and communicating with sales & demand planner.
• Take responsibility for regional allocation decisions in times of shortage

Intelligence
• Work with sales/BI manager/Purchasing manager to build up market price index and work out monthly price tracking reports for key product families

Commercial excellence
• Offer proposals to optimize current commercial internal process and analysis to be more transparent and efficient

You bring
• Experience in pricing and demand planning. Preference for experience in pricing/commercial/marketing functions in MNC company
• Good understanding of marketing-mix strategies and the dynamics of price/volume characteristics of a highly competitive market
• Demonstrated good potential of leadership and communication skills
• Ability to keep long term perspective whilst dealing with day to day issues
• Experience of advising and working internationally and with multinational/multicultural teams
• Strong ownership and ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in particular, able to translate complex topics into simple persuasive arguments
• Proven stress resistance and resilience
