Product Manager – China Team

Product Managers design, develop, and manage activities for a specific product from conceptualization, definition, and planning through implementation, release and enhancement. Product Managers act as both product experts and strategists to translate market trends, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and Morningstar intellectual property into innovative deliverables that solve customer problems and evangelize those innovations internally and externally.
We are looking for a talented Product Manager to lead our advisory platform's development and the innovation of data and tools. As a Product Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team of designers, developers, data and quality assurance analysts to execute complex projects related to designing the localized advisory platform, leveraging our global expertise.
Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality user stories, business requirements, story estimations and acceptance criteria for use by developers and quality assurance analysts. Develop business requirements refined and validated with customers and stakeholders, prioritize the backlog queue across multiple projects and workstreams, serving as a conduit between stakeholders, sales, service, marketing, compliance, design, operations and technology teams. Breakdown and analyze complex workflows and systems, identify inefficiencies/areas for improvement, and define solutions to improve the client experience. Serve as the subject matter expert of local fund advisory businesses both internally with our development teams and externally with institutional clients. Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements. Use Data to drive decisions and measure success. Performing user acceptance testing. Foster a team dynamic that is motivated to improve the customer experience and drive better business outcomes.Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in product management, business analysis or client solution roles. Knowledge and experience with asset management and the wealth management industry, previous experience with Morningstar is a plus. A passion for building software; ability to motivate and grow a collaborative, cross-functional team with a track record for quality and on-time deliveries. Ability to look at situations from several points of view: internally, externally, and cross-functionally. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative thinker with an analytical approach to problem-solving, a curious and critical mind, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. Experience with Morningstar products, services and data preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required, a graduate degree is a plus. CFA certification is a plus.
