JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Media, Greater China will lead all paid and owned media for Greater China, overseeing a team of 5- individuals and partnering closely with our Global Media team and regional media leads outside of Greater China. This person will deliver the strategy and execution of full funnel media initiatives that deliver business goals. The individual in this role will have a holistic view of the end-to-end customer experience coupled with the deep technical knowledge related to digital demand generation, media planning, end-to-end execution and analytics reporting for media campaigns. This person will be a champion for applying a performance driven mindset and optimization for Greater China media efforts while also serving as the point of connectivity to the global media team and in-market field digital marketing teams. This role will synchronize continent marketing efforts with globally run programs such as Transaction Based Media Program (TBMP) and PLUS, to ensure maximum return on investment at a global, continent and hotel level. This role will lead the team to manage local and regional affiliate partners utilizing global platforms to drive performance for hotels in Greater China. This person will also coordinate with other regions at Marriott to ensure coordinate and effective targeted of Outbound Chinese travelers. CANDIDATE PROFILE + years of relevant work experience as a media professional for a multinational corporations and/or media agency Requirements: Deep knowledge of G. China media including channels, partners, measurement, tracking and analysis. Languages: Fluency in English and Chinese required Experience managing and directing strategic partners / agencies /vendors. Demonstrated relationship marketing skills a must. Experience establishing, managing and optimizing media buying and budgeting across markets Five or more years of managerial experience, supervising and mentoring staff Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities. Demonstrated ability to take complex projects and efforts from conception to successful execution. Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects. Experience working with associates/ vendors/ customers in remote locations and international markets (multiple time zones). CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Oversee media planning for the full funnel including digital demand generation opportunities and upper funnel campaigns specific to business needs and priorities based on market conditions and emerging opportunities. Champion performance marketing mindset, media optimization and measurement in Greater China Lead change efforts to enable greater accountability and performance Serve as a key regional stakeholder and connectivity to the global media team and digital platforms team. Collaborate with brand, loyalty, F&B, revenue management, sales and digital leaders to create, execute and report on campaigns. Partner closely with agencies to manage team and campaign performance, finding ways to improve returns and test emerging opportunities. Manage media budgets across key markets Manage affiliate partners and key publishers to drive campaign effectiveness and cost-efficiencies.
