Strategic New BD Manager, Non-Auto

Basic Function

Manage the promotion of Compounded products for Non Auto application in Asia Pacific (APAC) and Africa, Middle East and India (AfMEI) region. This position will be strongly focusing on new business development through driving innovation, building up and managing new business pipeline to improve either market share or project profitability in Non Auto segment. 

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead, organize and drive LyondellBasell’s business development of Non Auto applications in APAC and AfMEI region with APS compounding material and set strategy with different non-Auto brand owners, including market segments of appliance, small electric appliance, industrial, sports and leisure
  • Work together with Product Application Development (PAD) and Application Development & Technical Services (ADTS) team to build up technical solution and be responsible for all resolving technical qualification, pricing and all other aspects of business development in various non-Auto markets.
  • Develop and maintain long-term business relationship with non-Auto brand owners and molders by understanding their operations and providing timely services.
  • Travel and support non-Auto application development in Southeast Asia (SEA) and AfMEI regions.
  • Ensures compliance to LyondellBasell HSE standards and Code of Conduct.
Min. Qualifications

Education:
1.    University bachelor's degree in engineering (Polymer Science is preferred); master's in technology or MBA is a plus. 

Work Experience: 
1.    Min 8 years’ experience in non-auto industry, commercial/technical background; an engineering material compounds industry background is preferable; 
2.    Deep knowledge in non-Auto market/products and plastics as well as good knowledge in engineering material compound products are required and related processing technology is preferred; 
3.    Chemical or polymer industry background is preferred. 

Skills:
1.    Strong project management skill, and good in communication; 
2.    Commercial & Engineering basics; 
3.    Strong business acumen; 
4.    Basic IT capabilities (SAP R3, EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT, Outlook). 

Languages:
1.    fluent in Mandarin (Chinese) & English for both speaking and writing
