Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish a long-term and sustainable relationship with assigned accounts in the China Auto Industry, aligning Ansys' solutions with the client's key business initiatives. The Industry Expert is seen by the customer as their trusted advisor and sole point of contact for all technical activities.
  • Collaborate with sales to identify necessary strategic long-term and short-term technical activities globally to meet overall sales objectives. Obtain required resources worldwide from Regional Technical, Training, and Consulting teams to execute the activities.
  • Focus on select account(s) in an advanced professional role, serving as the primary contact for all technical engagements. Expertise in aligning customer technical requirements with Ansys solutions in a specific industry vertical.
  • Work with sales to leverage appropriate technical resources to help expand the Ansys footprint, identifying opportunities at the account to outperform competitors, add products, users, and grow globally.
  • Review all technical support activities and collaborate with local support managers to ensure follow-up and coaching for technical staff to achieve quality goals.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by conveying their key requirements to Ansys product development teams, shaping the Ansys product roadmap and enhancing competitive solution positioning.
  • Lead opportunity qualification and drive technical campaigns for complex engagements, offer insights on market sizing initiatives.
  • Lead account-based marketing strategy, promote technology deployment and adoption, including partner solutions.
  • Establish an executive-level relationship between Ansys and the customer in conjunction with sales.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum professional experience in an engineering environment: 5 years for Bachelors, 3 years for Masters.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a sense of urgency.
  • Understanding of engineering practices and product development, experience in developing solutions using simulation technology and integrating them into customers' engineering workflows.
  • Logical problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills for conducting webinars and presentations to diverse audiences. Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Capability to manage and drive complex projects across geographically diverse locations, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Cultivate a professional image, exhibit business acumen, and have a drive for success.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting customer-facing roles involving engineering software.
  • Minimum professional experience in an engineering environment: 8 years for Bachelors, 6 years for Masters, or 3 years for PhD.
  • Familiarity with the IPD (Integrated Product Development) process in the High-Tech Industry in China.
  • Proven ability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into an execution plan that delivers value and meets business objectives.
