Duration: 6 months

Project and Location: MPF SWS Site

ROLE PURPOSE

The SITE PIPING ENGINEER directly reports to the piping engineer leader and Engineering Project Manager (EPM).

  • Review PIPING deliverables such as piping specifications, valve specifications, and stress analysis.
  • Assess PIPING information in MARINE deliverables like P&ID.
  • Examine technical agreements with vendors and yards to ensure adherence to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the BUILDER to develop PIPING deliverables by engaging directly with BUILDER's engineers.
  • Scrutinize vendor documents, liaise with vendors and third-party consultants to guarantee timely document reviews and feedback at the required quality level.
  • Handle piping construction challenges, draft technical query responses, and proactively seek guidance or propose alternative solutions when faced with difficulties.
  • Identify areas necessitating more specific guidance, ensure clear communication and understanding with Discipline Lead to avoid surprises.
  • Execute tasks delegated by the piping engineer leader or engineering project manager.

Required skills:

  • Proficiency in international standards and Classification Society Rules (preferably ABS/BV).
  • Familiarity with software tools like Navisworks, CAESAR II. Prior experience with AVEVA MARINE or PDMS is advantageous.
  • Background in material selection for piping components.
  • Self-motivated with strong problems solving abilities.
  • Prior experience in the role, preferably with FPSO exposure.
