Overview

The main focus of this role is to develop the regional business strategy and ensure its successful implementation by collaborating with key stakeholders to maximize profitable growth.

Responsibilities

Key Activities and Accountabilities:

  • The Regional Product Manager champions the product portfolio and collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Finance, and Supply Chain to establish objectives aligned with the global business strategy, drive execution, maximize growth and profitability, and represent a strong voice on the business leadership team.
  • Product Management – Make decisions impacting the business regarding payment terms, FCCI, product lifecycle management, new development support, new product launch, and post-launch tracking. Optimize volume, price, and product mix, and ensure a robust innovation pipeline.
  • Pricing Strategy & Execution – Evaluate overall regional pricing, provide guidance to commercial teams on necessary changes at specific customers to maximize contribution margin, communicate broad price increases, and consider implementation requests on a case-by-case basis.
  • Demand – Participate in and assess regional demand for the territory on a monthly basis.
  • Inventory Management – Work with S&OP, BL, and commercial teams to oversee inventory.
  • Customer Service & Support – Engage with large customers in the territory as needed by the commercial team, approve order postponements, credits, samples, etc.
  • Manufacturing & Supply Chain – Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and supply chain to advise on strategy and execute key initiatives.

Key Outputs and KPIs:

  • Achieve or surpass Annual EBITDA targets set in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Meet or exceed Inventory (DIO) targets.
  • Establish a 3-5 year growth and investment strategy to deliver 10% EBIT growth.
  • Develop and clearly communicate Product Strategies at the Regional Level.

Key Relationships & Stakeholders:

  • Celanese ELT and BL leadership.
  • Directly supervise regional business, commercial managers, T&I, and supply chain.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, finance, and procurement.
  • Engage with key customers, suppliers, and third-party industry stakeholders.

Critical Experiences:

  • Hold a Business or Science degree with a proven ability to drive business results. Possess 5 years of experience in product management, marketing, or sales. Demonstrate a strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among stakeholders.

Critical focus for the next 12-18 months:

  • Enhance profitability of product line(s) in the responsible region through pricing strategies and opportunities for market share growth at a positive cash contribution margin.
