We are looking for a Real-World Evidence Business Liaison China who is supportive, multi-tasking and energetic to join us in our RWD team, based in our UCB SH Office.
What you'll do
Ensures transparency and translation of RWE strategies from global to local. Clearly communicates and interprets guidance and frameworks to the region. Ensures that research within the region is coordinated with activities from the RWE global team.Provides RWE global with insights into the healthcare system(s) of the region and is able to articulate trends and key influences in healthcare use.Provides insight into how RWD is captured within the region. Is able to provide authoritative advice and guidance regarding local situations and nuances in data capture and interpretation. Is able to assess the suitability of available datasets in the region for particular business questions. Ensures that scientifically robust studies are conducted in the region that accurately fulfill global and local business needs. This includes both exploratory and in-depth analyses that contribute to the understanding of the natural course of diseases, treatments and associated patient outcomes. It also includes post marketing surveillance activities to ensure continued market access.Provides insight into the attitudes and requirements of regulatory bodies towards RWE studies in the region.Is aware of relevant privacy, governance and data protection requirements that may impact the handling and use of data in the region. Is aware of healthcare practitioner engagement and reporting requirements. Is aware of contract research payment and outsourcing requirements/obligations in the region. Maintains an active network of academic, contract research and data vendor partners in the region. Participates in relevant conferences and meetings.Provides RWE methodology training to local teams (where applicable), and conversely, regional awareness training to the global team (where applicable).Understands broad industry trends within region, including the changing attitudes of regulatory bodies, payors, healthcare practitioners and patients.Interested? At least 5+ years pharmaceutical industry (or equivalent) in medical affairs/publication/Health economics experience.Expertise in regional healthcare system and the use of real world data from this regionExcellent understanding of RWE methodologyRegional understanding of healthcare RWD use is preferred.External and Internal Interfaces
