Description of Position

The Organon China Commercial Business Technology (BT) Lead is a key player in driving business transformation across all commercial functions, ensuring that technology solutions enable this journey. Seeking an individual with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, capable of defining and implementing change through technology initiatives in an agile manner. Responsibilities include fostering partnerships internally and externally to deliver business outcomes.

This role collaborates closely with the China Commercial Leadership Team to align with the strategic imperatives of the China Market. The incumbent leads the BT team aligned with China's commercial business, working with other functional leaders to develop a global multi-year technology portfolio and shape the business strategy alongside senior leaders.

Primary Activities/Responsibilities

  • Strategic partnership with China commercial function to drive profitable growth through organic and inorganic opportunities.
  • Integrate technology portfolio with transformation agenda and global strategy to meet business goals.
  • Collaborate with global teams to enable capabilities for business priorities and champion data and analytics for key insights.
  • Advance consumer engagement strategy and identify opportunities for technology innovation.
  • Contribute to evolving technology portfolio to align with China business model.
  • Lead the BT community to evaluate technology solutions, enhance team capabilities, and improve effectiveness in achieving objectives.
  • Facilitate governance structure for project selection and technology investments alignment.
  • Partner with functional leaders to shape business strategy and articulate BT vision.
  • Develop and implement project plans with focus on interdependencies and risk management.
  • Manage resources efficiently to deliver on objectives and optimize resource allocation.
  • Enhance operational systems to meet evolving service levels and provide guidance on corporate practices.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Science or Business.
  • 15-to-20-year experience in IT management and digital strategy execution.
  • Strong technology skills for enterprise-level programs.
  • Proven track record in driving core business with data-driven focus.
  • Experience in leveraging data for decision-making processes and deploying innovative solutions.
  • Cross-functional thinking, relationship-building, and strategic mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior executives and IT providers.
  • Business acumen, strategic thinking, project management, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors: Ethics & Integrity, Customer Focus, Results-Driven, Talent Development, Collaboration.
