Job PurposeThis position is responsible for AN's Minerals category management across North Asia leading sourcing strategies, driving sustainability, key supplier & contract management, supplier performance improvement, price management and providing raw material market expertise.
Key AccountabilitiesCategory Management:
Regional category management for assigned category / sub-categories aligned with Global strategy
Develop and implement Regional sourcing strategies (SSM) for assigned category / sub-categories
Developing a pipeline of TCO reduction projects per AN Sourcing Financial objectives
Raw material market intelligence and price forecasting for raw materials included on assigned category / sub-category
Risk management (supply, financial, supplier base, etc)
Supplier Management:
Manage Regional supplier portfolio: supplier selection, negotiation, QDCIS improvement
Responsible for the supplier relationship management ensuring mutually beneficial supplier relationships and collaboration at all organizational levels
Key supplier manager (KSM) for key global supplier(s) based in his/her category / sub-categories
Introduce new suppliers to trigger the competition among suppliers.
Sustainability
Drive sustainability KPI's for CSR, Audits, HRDD, etc
Work closely together with suppliers to drive down carbon emissions
Stakeholder management:
Acting as key-interface between sourcing and TCL together with R&D Team for supplier innovation, new product introduction, complexity reduction projects and portfolio management
Supporting escalated supply issues resolution
Represent global category in regional cross-functional forums and programs (i.e. IBP, CM management, regional procurement programs and reviews)
SLA implementation in AkzoNobel plants
Contract management:
Price negotiation with suppliers involved in the category
Contract negotiation and implementation
Portfolio management:
Raw materials portfolio management for assigned category / sub-category
Work with:
- Procurement network across Asia
- Global Minerals network
- BU RD&I and ISC representatives
- Supplier Representatives
Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):
- 5+ years in procurement, supply chain or sourcing function with relevant experience in negotiating and managing regional suppliers.
- Experience in developing and deploying sourcing strategies.
- Proven success in driving supplier cost, quality and delivery performance improvement programs.
- Advanced procurement management applications (eg Coupa).
- Minerals and extenders (Barytes, Talc. Copper etc.) working experience in Paints & coating industry is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business management or chemistry. Master's degree is a plus.
- Must have a strong command and understanding of fundamental analytical techniques and ability to accurately draw conclusions and interpret data
