Job Description

This is a senior-level system architect position responsible for leading the development of electrical/electronic (E/E) systems in vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive system architecture and ADAS/AD, with expertise in all E/E architecture domains and their cross interactions. They should also possess technical leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire people.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative E/E architectures for the HARMAN AutoOne reference car in close collaboration with product line architects and E/E Architecture Lab domain architects.
  • Support technology partner and M&A analysis.
  • Collaborate with product line SMEs, customers, and suppliers to analyze, identify, and establish industry benchmark E/E architecture design principles and best practices.
  • Lead the analysis of E/E architecture trends and technologies across global markets, key customers, and suppliers.
  • Design future vehicle E/E architectures and product concepts.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable experience.
  • Strong background (8 years) in automotive system architecture and ADAS/AD.
  • Core expertise in all E/E architecture domains and its cross interactions including vehicle-level system partitioning, vehicle function allocations, and system integration.
  • Technical leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire people.
  • Experience in model-based architecture, SysML, and respective tooling.
  • Excellent understanding of SAE J3016, NCAP standard, GSR regulation, Functional Safety (ISO26262), and Cybersecurity (ISO21434).
  • Good understanding of system and software partitioning of ADAS/AD systems.
  • Good understanding of ADAS/AD on sensors, actuators, and system integration concepts.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and experience. The salary range may vary depending on individual qualifications and market conditions.
