The Distribution Risk Management Manager role is a critical position within HSBC that focuses on ensuring the bank's distribution practices align with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

This role sits at the forefront of the team responsible for delivering a high-quality and robust service to our clients.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a key member in risk management.

In this role, you will:

  • Handle regulatory tasks including distribution risk checking, publicity education, and related regulatory reports to prevent illegal fund-raising, loan intermediary business, unauthorized sales, and financial fraud;
  • Carry out risk warnings and publicity on scams like 'Insurance Upgrade,' 'Insurance Dividend,' and 'Fraud Trap';
  • Set up and facilitate sales control mechanisms to prevent misleading sales and promote traceability management of life insurance sales behavior;
  • Organize and execute control plans and reviews to prevent financial risks, strengthen modern financial supervision measures, and construct an incorruptible financial culture;
  • Strengthen the risk management of mobile app information technology, carry out risk warnings on internet insurance product sales, and implement anti-telecom network fraud laws to conduct publicity and rectification measures for internet insurance chaos;
  • Crack down on cross-border gambling, maintain a clean network environment, and prevent the illegal use of 'Bank' to absorb public deposits and unauthorized sales of insurance practitioners.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Working experience in risk management in life insurance, broker company, internal control management, or internal audit;
  • Technical knowledge of insurance sales processes, compliance requirements, and regulation requirements;
  • Good regulator relationships (a plus);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality output within a tight timeframe;
  • Availability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and deal with complex issues.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
