Position Overview:

The Business Operations Manager will play a crucial role in various organizational functions, assisting Senior Managers with daily operations and special projects, including Annual Reporting and strategic initiatives. This position involves collaboration within business teams under the guidance of a Senior Manager and may include oversight of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of business strategies to align with organizational goals.
  • Engage in comprehensive business planning activities, including financial, technological, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the development of COO functions' frameworks, dashboards, and unique assignments.
  • Coordinate significant operational initiatives.
  • Manage and optimize Ops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Monitor the status of daily operations, processes, and departmental expenditures.
  • Participate in Operations Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning, headcount analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide insights for senior management decisions based on diverse information sources and stakeholder input.
  • Represent the business area's perspectives in various forums and committees.
  • Contribute to the establishment and enhancement of operational management guidelines and standardized processes.
  • Identify and resolve issues adversely affecting operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to effectively manage business Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) costs.
  • Organize local internal events and initiatives to boost staff engagement.
  • Assist with office administration and operational tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in operational management and business analysis within the insurance sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on presentation capabilities.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated coordination and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and consistency.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure with a professional demeanor.
