Job Overview

As a key player in our sales team, you will be responsible for overseeing all sales and account management functions related to Thermo Fisher Scientific's Electron Microscopes products across designated regions. Your role will involve addressing any challenges that arise and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of all sales and account management duties for specified Electron Microscopes products.
  • Execute the SEMI market strategy tailored for the region.
  • Drive significant business initiatives to enhance the sales pipeline and secure bookings.
  • Foster a growth-oriented environment by collaborating with Sales Development, Application, and NanoPort teams to formulate innovative strategies aimed at increasing market share in the SEMI sector.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled specialists to achieve growth objectives, while attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Maintain precise quarterly booking forecasts to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Assess budgetary considerations for each customer and implement strategic actions accordingly.
  • Verify that all system configurations, specifications, and acceptance criteria are suitable for closing orders.
  • Oversee User Group activities by product as necessary.
  • Coordinate system demonstrations in collaboration with application engineers and product marketing managers.
  • Manage the sales booking process effectively.
  • Address product-related issues in the field by collaborating closely with the Account service group and application engineers to find solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:

This position is ideal for a seasoned professional eager to engage with a dynamic team and explore a variety of customer application areas. The successful candidate will possess:

  • A university degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in sales management within a related product area.
  • Experience with SEMI equipment vendors or similar laboratory vendors.
  • Advanced negotiation skills for effective customer interactions and sales closure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with a diverse audience.
  • A systematic approach to problem-solving in collaboration with customers and the account team.
  • Proficient presentation skills, including the ability to create compelling materials for both internal and external audiences.
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining deep customer relationships based on credibility and trust.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, with an estimated travel commitment of approximately 70%.
