Purpose of Recruitment
The People & Culture team is focused on attracting, engaging, nurturing, and retaining motivated, diverse, and purpose-driven talent for the Forum. As a People & Culture Recruitment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting talent acquisition efforts within the China team.
We seek a seasoned and innovative professional in people and culture who will primarily focus on attracting and engaging highly skilled talent within the Chinese market.
This role is based in the Forum's Beijing office.
Reporting Structure and Collaboration
You will report to the People & Culture Lead in China and the Head of Talent Acquisition in Geneva. Your collaboration with the business will be essential for talent acquisition matters, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience for both internal and external talent.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in executing and localizing the Global Talent Acquisition strategy to ensure timely recruitment of high-quality candidates. Oversee the complete recruitment process for assigned positions, including hiring alignment meetings, job postings, active sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer negotiations. Collaborate with colleagues involved in the interview process to enhance interviewing capabilities and promote global standards. Work with colleagues to ensure that global diversity and inclusion principles are integrated throughout the recruitment process and internal mobility. Build Talent Pools for recurring needs and maintain optimal candidate relationship management to ensure readiness for engagement. Develop effective regional sourcing strategies, thinking beyond traditional methods. Contribute to global employer branding initiatives and marketing efforts, ensuring localization to meet recruitment needs in China. Support strategic partnerships with universities to attract and select top diverse talent from educational institutions. Implement onboarding programs to facilitate newcomers' integration into the Forum, including essential training in systems, culture, and processes. Assist with People & Culture transactional activities while ensuring confidentiality of all information. Stay informed on best practices regarding assessments, manager training, and engagement to enhance candidate experience and support business success.Evaluation Criteria for Success
Hiring managers will regard you as a trusted partner in talent acquisition. Timely and quality hiring of exceptional candidates. Knowledge of talent market intelligence, serving as an advisor to hiring managers. Proficiency in utilizing digital and social media tools to broaden candidate access. Strengthening the Forum's brand and visibility as an employer of choice in China. Ensuring a high-quality experience for new employees as they integrate into the Forum. Proactively identifying areas for optimization throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Ability to bridge communication between the Beijing office and other organizational locations.Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., human resources, psychology, social sciences, business administration). At least 5 years of experience in recruitment, particularly within a multinational organization. Previous experience as an external recruiter and expertise in other HR areas (talent development, HR policy, compensation) is advantageous. Excellent command of English and Mandarin, both spoken and written. Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. Demonstrated customer-centric approach and ability to influence outcomes through relationships. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively. Strong collaborative skills and sensitivity to people dynamics. Competence in handling confidential information with discretion.
