Job Title: Global Packaging Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Packaging Development Manager to support the continuing expansion of our Chemical business in the package industry in Asia. In this role, you will work closely with our upstream team to expand Milliken & Company's Chemical business in the packaging market in China, focusing on appliance, homecare, food & beverages, and personal care segments.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with upstream team to develop and promote Milliken & Company's Chemical business in the packaging market in China, focusing on appliance, homecare, food & beverages, and personal care segments.
  2. Direct in-depth contact with market, managing strategic appliance, CPG, and food brands to promote the use of PP material containing Milliken additives to replace other materials.
  3. Capture and develop potential opportunities in the packaging/appliance market for material replacement opportunities (using PP replacing others) to promote Milliken additives and provide service.
  4. Link PP producers and CPG each levels (brand owners, fabricators, sales channel, and end consumers, etc.) effectively, assist upstream team to develop package industry new opportunities (including new application development of current grades and PP resin new grades promotion in package industry).
  5. Be able to quickly enter into segmented fields and emerging industries, and have a full understanding of the industry or segmented fields, and explore new market opportunities.
  6. Continuously gather competitive information and report to management.
  7. Using computer and email to report global business units in line with business requirements, well conduct with CRM system of Milliken after training.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor or Master Degree preferred in Polymer, Chemistry, or Material Science or other science.
  2. More than 5 years' experience in packaging industry or plastics processing industry, familiar with the industry and having direct sales or technical service experience with major CPG and food brands.
  3. Familiar with plastic packaging processing and application, such as EBM, IM, ISBM, etc. At least 5 years of working experience in brands or CPG OEM and convertors.
  4. Must have the ability and presence to contact at high levels of marketing, packaging development, technical, and production of local and multi-national CPG & food companies, plastic packaging manufactures.
  5. Ability to adapt to Western company culture, and having strategic thinking is important. Being an 'ambassador' to represent Milliken's products, services, and business offerings. Strong sales/development capability is required.
  6. Fluent, and comfortable speaking and writing in English is preferred, other languages are a plus.
  7. This position requires frequent travel.
