About the Role

This Accounting Supervisor position at Brooks Automation is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in accounting and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the activities of general accounting functions, including developing and implementing systems, procedures, and policies.

Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing accounting teams to ensure accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data;
  • Providing support to government and CPA auditors by providing required information and ensuring proper record-keeping;
  • Selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the accounting function.

Senior Supervisor Level Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Senior Supervisor level of this role involves training, guiding, making work assignments, and assessing performance of direct reports. This includes:

  • Directing staff comprised of non-exempt employees or entry-to-career level exempt employees;
  • Developing company business knowledge and experience along with gaining experience in human relations skills;
  • Providing resolution to moderately complex problems from within defined procedures and practices.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this Accounting Supervisor position will have a Bachelor's degree and typically 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field. They must possess a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, theories, concepts, methods, and techniques used in the function being supervised.
