Position Overview:

The Project Engineer will be accountable for the comprehensive management of project activities, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project initiatives and maintain ongoing communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and disseminate project organization and planning documents.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Coordinate project groups, conduct design reviews, and oversee necessary developments.
  • Manage the production and distribution of essential project documentation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Oversee purchasing activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare contract status and cost reports, and monitor project cash flow.
  • Supervise invoicing processes with clients and suppliers.
  • Maintain a comprehensive +/- list with stakeholders.
  • Prepare for project commissioning, start-up, and guarantee runs.
  • Ensure thorough project closure activities and facilitate the transition to the service department post-warranty.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the pulp and paper industry, complemented by a minimum of one year of relevant experience. A solid understanding of project execution and mechanical drawings is essential.

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required, along with familiarity with ERP software such as SAP and MS Office applications.

Exceptional planning, organizational skills, and a strong team-oriented mindset are crucial for success in this role. Effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams is also vital.
