Position Overview

Role Summary

TE Connectivity's Engineering Project Management Teams oversee multifaceted engineering initiatives. These teams collaborate with various departments including Product Management, Sales, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Finance to ensure that projects align with financial, scheduling, and customer satisfaction objectives. Responsibilities include establishing and managing project timelines, overseeing portfolio management, facilitating communication, and executing programs while identifying resource limitations and coordinating with management for resolution, all in accordance with LeanPD methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development of cross-functional teams, project schedules, and budgets for new initiatives.
2. Guide teams in validating product designs and processes through sample production, including the preparation and verification of raw materials, fixtures, tooling, and machinery. Drive the team to resolve all outstanding issues prior to mass production, assess production capacity, formulate ramp-up strategies, and establish new production lines while ensuring a safe launch and coordinating FACA reports in LVM. Focus on cost reduction to meet target landing zones.
3. Monitor project progress and advocate for effective implementation.
4. Provide project status updates to the management team to facilitate support.
5. Oversee project transformation by conducting ramp-up meetings to transition projects to operational planners, ensuring successful implementation.
6. Coordinate with relevant teams to submit First Article (FA) samples and secure customer approvals to guarantee project success.
7. Lead the completion of project closure reports and ensure a seamless handover to the operations team.
8. Identify and recommend process improvements related to new projects, facilitating proposals to enhance project management efficiency.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. 6 to 8 years of overall work experience.
3. 5 years of experience in project management.
4. Strong integrity, logical reasoning, communication skills, ability to manage pressure, and leadership capabilities.
