Position Summary:

TE Connectivity's Engineering Project Management Teams oversee multifaceted engineering initiatives. They engage with Product Management, Sales, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Finance, and other departments within TE to ensure that projects align with financial, scheduling, and customer satisfaction goals. Their responsibilities include defining and developing project timelines, managing portfolios, facilitating communication, executing programs, identifying resource limitations, and collaborating with management for resolution, all while adhering to LeanPD methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead new project management efforts, capable of independently managing high-level complex or strategic projects.
  2. Establish cross-functional teams and create project schedules and budgets.
  3. Guide teams in validating product designs and processes through sample production, including the preparation and verification of raw materials, fixtures, tooling, and machinery, while addressing all outstanding issues prior to mass production.
  4. Coordinate the analysis of production capacity, ramp-up plans, and the establishment of new production lines, ensuring the safe launch of products and coordinating FACA reports in LVM.
  5. Drive cost reduction initiatives to meet target objectives.
  6. Monitor project progress and ensure effective implementation.
  7. Provide project status updates to the management team for support.
  8. Facilitate project transformation by conducting ramp-up meetings to transition projects to operational planners, ensuring successful implementation.
  9. Coordinate with relevant teams to submit First Article (FA) samples and secure customer approvals for successful project execution.
  10. Lead the completion of project closure reports and ensure a smooth handover to the operations team.
  11. Identify and recommend process improvements related to new projects to enhance management efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 6 to 8 years of total work experience.
  • 5 years of experience in project management.
  • Strong integrity, logical reasoning, communication, pressure management, and leadership skills.
