Job Title: Project Manager Approval

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager Approval to join our team at DNV's Technical Centre China in Shanghai. As a key member of our Pre-contract & PMA section, you will be responsible for managing newbuilding plan approvals and ensuring smooth communication between internal and external parties.

Responsibilities:
  • Support pre-contract and sales activities, including bidding and project coordination
  • Manage and execute the internal work order between the newbuilding region and global approval centers
  • Work closely with the sales organization and customer to ensure internal alignment on project expectations and deliverables
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth communication and project progress
  • Propose improvement opportunities and communicate critical issues to line management
  • Manage flexible work arrangements and ensure better work-life balance

Requirements:
  • University degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maritime business
  • Customer-oriented with a good understanding of shipbuilding practice
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Flexibility with regards to work tasks and ability to adapt to cultural differences
Advantages:
  • Passed China MSA surveyor examination (Group A)
  • Related experience as newbuilding project manager or plan approval engineer within IACS member society
  • Proven capability for global project management
