Your Role

As a key member of the IT team, you will collaborate with various business units across Umicore, both regionally and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a proficient member of the SAP team, specializing in SAP Production Planning and Quality Management from both functional and configuration perspectives.
  • Participate in SAP implementation and enhancement initiatives within Umicore.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes within the organization.
  • Act as a regional template custodian during projects, ensuring adherence to established templates while contributing to their development based on experiences from rollout initiatives.
  • Assist key users in migrating legacy data to new systems.
  • Ensure compliance with common rules and data standards.
  • Identify and propose solutions for any identified gaps.
  • Provide essential training to key users for effective application usage.
  • Support key users in system testing and acceptance processes.
  • Implement and oversee authorization protocols to safeguard sensitive data and processes.
  • Keep project managers updated on progress and any arising issues.
  • Conduct functional testing as required.
  • Offer expertise to the SAP Support team as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Business Applications Team and Team Lead based in Belgium.

Candidate Profile

Education:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in IT technology.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP Production Planning and Quality Management, including both functional and technical aspects, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with S4 HANA projects is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 full-cycle implementation projects.
  • Background as both an external and internal consultant.

Language Proficiency:

  • Excellent command of English.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese is advantageous.

Managerial Skills:

  • Ability to design solutions, analyze business processes, and translate functional descriptions into technical terms.
  • Develop business cases to prioritize actions in alignment with group rules and IT strategies.
  • Experience working in an international and multicultural environment, managing diverse priorities.
  • Adaptability to changes in working methods, processes, and tools.
  • Plan project actions while remaining flexible to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
