Role Overview

The AQA Engineer at Corning plays a pivotal role in ensuring product excellence through comprehensive quality assurance practices. This position involves:

  • Managing customer feedback and addressing complaints by investigating production records.
  • Facilitating the identification of root causes, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and validating their effectiveness.
  • Overseeing risky lot management to mitigate customer impact based on feedback and internal events.
  • Tracking the implementation of corrective and preventive actions and conducting regular audits.
  • Leading projects aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring variations across production lines and identifying opportunities for improvement based on customer process insights.
  • Conducting joint experiments to define customer process requirements and drive product specifications accordingly.
  • Arranging customer visits and coordinating plant resources for workshops.
  • Providing technical support to customers by coordinating plant-wide resources.
  • Executing external qualification processes in collaboration with customers.
  • Supporting customer sample requests.
  • Performing data analysis to propose quality improvements to the production team.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field such as Mathematics or Statistics.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in quality assurance or process-related roles; prior industry experience is advantageous.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in computer applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making methodologies, such as 8D.
  • Preferred expertise in data analysis and statistical tools, including SPC, QC Story, and other quality-related instruments.
  • Fluent in English, with strong speaking, writing, and reading skills.
  • Effective meeting facilitation abilities.
