Key Responsibilities:



  • Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verifying and entering items, transferring orders to fulfillment, explaining stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Boost orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and reviewing the customer's buying history.
  • Collaborate with outside sales to ensure goals are being met, working closely to develop and qualify opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
  • Prepare and generate quotations to secure orders or determine the reason for a lost order, always ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those at risk of missing the customer's promised delivery date.
  • Maintain accurate records of backorder reports, associated customer expediting reports and notices, and customer notifications.
  • Provide valuable insights to management on industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback.

Requirements:



  • High School Degree or Equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration, with a strong ability to learn and grow.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to travel up to 25%.
