As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth at Wesco International, Inc. Your primary responsibility will be to interact with existing customers, primarily through phone and email, to increase sales of our products and/or services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verifying and entering items, transferring orders to fulfillment, explaining stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
- Boost orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and reviewing the customer's buying history.
- Collaborate with outside sales to ensure goals are being met, working closely to develop and qualify opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
- Prepare and generate quotations to secure orders or determine the reason for a lost order, always ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Regularly review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those at risk of missing the customer's promised delivery date.
- Maintain accurate records of backorder reports, associated customer expediting reports and notices, and customer notifications.
- Provide valuable insights to management on industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Preferred knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration, with a strong ability to learn and grow.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Attention to detail and ability to travel up to 25%.
