Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Alila Shanghai. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in managing the kitchen operation and ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the kitchen operation and administration.
  • Ensure the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt Hotels Corporation's Corporate Strategic Priorities.
  • Manage kitchen staff and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the culinary experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years work experience as Sous Chef or 4 years as Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards.
  • Qualification in Kitchen Production or Management is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Basic Computer Skills in MS Office and Recipe Maintenance System.
